Nancy Shores Karlebach is a retired special education instructor.  She began her career in New York City public schools working with the physically challenged, followed by a resource room position in Bridgehampton, New York teaching students with learning disabilities. She is committed to helping the environment, is a Board member of hibiscus-haiti.org which formed to help Haiti rebuild sustainably after its 2010 earthquake, and volunteers to do voter registration and GOTV every election season.  Nancy is presently writing a book about her Timely/Marvel artist father, Syd Shores. She lives in East Hampton, New York with her husband, Craig, has one son living in NYC, and one married daughter living nearby whose two adorable children keep their grandmother plenty busy!
