Athena Finger, granddaughter of Bill Finger, the co-creator of Batman, led a determined campaign to win her grandfather the recognition he long deserved. In 2015, after years of persistence, she successfully secured co-credit for Bill Finger, rightfully restoring his place in comic history.

As the historian of Batman’s creation, Athena shares her family’s incredible journey at conventions around the world. Her story is featured in the Hulu documentary Batman and Bill, which chronicles the four-generation battle to achieve justice for Bill Finger’s contributions to the iconic superhero.

In addition to preserving her grandfather’s legacy, Athena is an artist, upcoming author, and advocate for arts education. She is also a co-presenter of the Bill Finger Award at the prestigious Will Eisner Award Ceremony at San Diego Comic-Con, honoring the often-overlooked creators in the comic book world.
